In the dunes
We’re taking trips
To the moon
We’re crashing ships
In the clouds
We’re smoking weed
Whispering soft
With the reeds
Of our next
Escapade
Into dawn
And its shades
And its smells
And its sands
Sifting through
Our clumsy hands
Taking shape
Gaining pounds
Hand bells ring
Giving sound
A shape is born
Before it leaves
For the dunes
To live there free
And this was you
Before your birth
And this was I
Back down on Earth
We watched balloons
On hazy heights
We swore this sight
Will never die
We rolled in grass
We glowed with foam
Of ocean arms
Of seashell homes
It was surreal
To those outside
They think we’re dead
They’re watching us
They’re building graves
They’re buying toys
Forgetting that
Our name was joy
Back in the dunes
We’re crashing ships
Up to the moon
We’re taking trips
