YOUR MUFF - short poem / krótki wierszyk.
Twoja mufka jest gorętsza niż ciasto z piekarni
Twoja mufka jest mądrzejsza niż dwa miliardy mędrców
Twoja mufka – kochanie nie widzę horyzontu
***
Your muff is greater than the beer man belly
Your muff is hotter than the cake from bakery
Your muff is wiser than two billion wise men
Your muff – baby I can't see the horizon
(14.08.2000).
The riff was later used for "Megalopolis".

"Listen to the Dusk"
Listen to the dusk
wait for the saxophone
linger on downward street spiral
inventor
you climb the dawn
to listen to the dusk
& listen to the dusk
to escape the night
the night
the lantern
Moon
its face a derelict shore
its shore a desert of men
its men a desert of moons
the many moons of Saturn
from there I came
wait for the saxophone
surf the ego drawl
you never have enough
sounds & shambles
dig the deeper spirit
there's something growing in the night - the lantern
the movie of your Moon
the moon of your dusk
the one we all listen
to.

THE CHANTING CURTAIN
Srebrzysta cytryna zwisająca z niebios pląsa w rytm psalmów Szatana
Reflektory oślepiają ludzi technicznymi pomyjami przyszłości
Zaczyna się bieg z flagami w rytm psalmów Szatana
Rozwiewa się sturęka kotara myśląca synchronicznie
Klerykalni domokrążcy wypalają krzyże na czołach dzieci
Jak kod kreskowy na opakowaniu syntetycznego jedzenia
Kanibalistyczni neonazistowscy zbawiciele karmią miłość roztopionymi chlebami
Topiąc swoje iluzje w bezdennych szklankach luster
Jednoocy odkrywcy stereofonicznego wzroku rozmywają się patrząc w słońce znad ziemi
Krążące satelity zczytują termoelektryczne sny wyławiając je ze złotej magmy...
Sturękie bóstwo znalazło czas by nas odnaleźć i zejść z nami w dół...

A silvery lemon hanging from the heavens dances to the rhythm of Satan's psalms
The headlamps blind people with the technical washing of the future
The run with flags begins to the rhythm of Satan's psalms
The chanting curtain, which thinks synchronously, is blown away
Clerical peddlers burn crosses on children's foreheads
Like a barcode on a synthetic food package
Cannibalistic neo-Nazi saviors feed love with melted bread
Drowning their illusions in bottomless glasses of mirrors
One-eyed discoverers of stereo vision blur when looking at the sun from above the ground
Circulating satellites read thermoelectric dreams, catching them from golden magma...
The stout god has found time to find us and come down with us...

EIMI album with its emotional galactic atmospheres that describe scenarios of decadent desolation. A masterpiece in the genre. (MAURIZIO BIANCHI).
Adam Majdecki-Janicki, Eimi (release date: 06/18/2020).
Adam Majdecki-Janicki offers outstanding music, like an archive noise, an open breath on a film from another era. An experiment that makes sound a landscape, a sound/space continuum.
Yuri Morozov is the great inspiration, the clever and resourceful electronics of these studios piercing the solitude of the bands and official orchestras. There is no commemoration in this tribute to the great Russian composer. Perception alone, the memory of a burning film, a stalker in search of a mirrored universe. Adam Majdecki-Janicki makes textures-cassettes, sound worlds buried in the memory of a sky full of stars.
Eimi, or the open sound of a walking talent.

"Stoned Gypsy Wanderer" in the Ears and Eyes of Others (Updated)
A.J. Kaufmann: The Stoned Gypsy Wanderer
Poland’s undisputed chief psych-out poet laureate A.J. Kaufmann releases whatever the hell he wants because he’s like the Jandek freak folk psych-master of Poland and he just keeps releasing quality material…more than 100 in 10 years in fact.
A.J. has also released more books of poetry than Rimbaud, Blake and Walt Whitman combined. Imagine having that sort of output and talent? Ramble is over the moon to be releasing the long-lost rarity The Stoned Gypsy Wanderer and let’s hope you are one of the lucky ones to snap it up because it’s destined to become a psych masterpiece.
The Stoned Gypsy Wanderer is two parts Syd Barrett, a smidge of the Butthole Surfers, a cup of Country Joe and the Fish with Chrome at the console. On the words A.J might be channelling André Breton and Baudelaire but his surreal-laded lyrics belong to him and him alone.
Comes with original cover artwork by Justin Jackley (Austin, Texas), complete with lyrics.
(Mike Sill, Ramble Records, 2021).
"When I first listened to this album, the thing that stood out the most is the wonderfully classic aesthetic to the recording of each track. Yes, there are a variety of influences at play here including psychedelic folk and garage rock. But the constant thread between all of them is an encapsulation of the era to which it calls back.
Listening to it is like jumping into a well-crafted time capsule taking you back to the era of bands like Jefferson Airplane and The Doors with a raw sound that lets the elements of each composition shine through whether they combine into the complexity of tracks such as "Wine of Rape" and "Whispering Egypt" or the simplicity of a guitar and voice in tracks like "Amaranth Blues" or "Stoned Gypsy Wanderer."
This is the album where you can make yourself a cup of coffee, light up something special, and let yourself zone out to the reverberated guitars and psychedelic aesthetic."
Lars Haur, On The Fringes of Sounds, Dec 9 2021.
"Hailing from Poznań, Poland, A.J. Kaufmann puts his wide array of influences on his sleeve on the multifaceted Stoned Gypsy Wanderer.
Featuring a wide array of sounds with everything from 80s-flavored garage rock to rustic psychedelic folk, Kaufmann is in full flight on this record.
At times Kaufmann conjures up the weird acid folk stylings of the likes of Perry Leopold, especially on the opening track “Berger,” while at others, Kaufmann rocks out with a surreal and macabre atmosphere, like Robyn Hitchcock or The Dukes of Stratosphear.
The best moments on the album are when Kaufmann leans further into the astral folk side of his aural spectrum. Just take a listen to the Pearls Before Swine-like “This is Not New York,” and just try to not get caught up in its spell.
Dreamlike and fascinatingly versatile, this is an album that you won’t soon forget."
Record Crates United Oct 1, 2021.
“From the first multi-layered seconds of the opener (which sounds like Robyn Hitchcock on steroids sitting in with Country Joe and the Fish if they’d been doing DIY recordings in 2014), we’ve got a first-rate collection of 14 new and diverse psychedelic anthems…..all with interesting chord progressions and the kind of lyrics worthy of a poet….some have a trippy singer-songwriter vibe a la Dino Valenti or John Wonderling….others offer kaleidoscopic swirling ships of sound in the “Scream Thy Last Scream” vein…and post-60s influences such as Scary Monsters-era Bowie or the Psychedelic Furs are swirled into the mix…along with the DIY genius of someone like Bobb Trimble. ”

“Several of the album’s 14 songs have a vocals and acoustic guitar driven acid-minstrel quality that reminds me of the Bevis Frond, though like Nik Saloman, A.J. has his own sound. Representative tunes include Amaranth Blues and the title track, plus the majestic C.O.K.E., with its screaming guitar, and I love the trippy, mind-bending effects that augment This is Not New York and Slavia Nova. There’s lot of variety too. I love the jangly yet endearingly dissonant Folk-Psych of Berger. Crown Of Things is a darkly Gothic, droning Acid-Pop song with lysergic guitar lines that weave a snake-like trail amongst the catchy melody. Wine Of Rape is a hauntingly seductive slab of Psychedelic Prog-Pop, with organ, piano and orchestration. There are also songs with a high energy rocking feel, and even some that are whimsically fun. Still Within gushes with spirited Psych infused Folk Rock and ripping electric guitar fills. A.J. goes totally trippy on the equally energetic Whispering Egypt, with its wildly wah’d freak guitar, haunting organ and spaced out mesmerizing vibe. I like the lively, Celtic tinged Veil Of Isis and the bouncy In a Blue and Violet Morning. Iceberg has a stoned, trippy, carnival-like rhythmic pulse, horn section, and jabbing keyboard notes. And Operation is the most different track of the set, having a quirky New Wav-ish rocking feel that reminded me of an early 80s Bill Nelson song. Stoned Gypsy Wanderer is a captivating set of songs which mine the Psychedelic, Folk and Prog realms and are then stamped with A.J.’s own personal touch.”

“This new album by AJ Kaufmann is stunning….it’s got many different styles, all equally well handled… it compares to the best things Julian Cope has done.”
(Brad Kohler, USA)
“Fourteen delicious songs from Poland: DIY and homely, urgent but not repelling, in a multicolored solitude, full of bizarre suggestions, including electric and acoustic guitars, basses, synths, toys, programming and voice, thinking of an urgent solitaire in mood of Warhol’s Factory – think of Dylan, think of Barrett, shake your “Screamadelica” shakers. The ensemble sounds like a solar and not too brutal Julian Cope, on a Sunday domestic blow (some old sixties’ garage 45s playing in the background). Very fresh and pleasant.”
(Kathodik, Italy)
“STONED GYPSY WANDERER, unlike much of what labels itself “psychedelic” today, is NOT a revival work… it SOUNDS like a 2014 recording and is forward-thinking and forward-sounding, but it has all the independent spirit and originality and everything-but-the-kitchen-sink low-budget raw production and fully-formed-style-from-seemingly-out-of-nowhere that one finds in the best and the biggest-ticket private press psych masterpieces. ”
(Kendra Steiner Editions, USA)
“The lyrics are mystical beyond belief, the performance ranks with the best late-sixties productions one could have found on Warners, and Kaufmann himself is a world class talent who recalls a whole buncha past while presenting it in the here and now. And the best thing about it is it hardly if ever gets twee!”

“Witajcie w artystycznym świecie Adama Jana Kaufmana.
Topiący się w psychodelicznych delayach „This is Not New York” – kawałek, który po prostu trzeba zaśpiewać w którejś z kawiarni Greenwich Village.
Kończący album, niepokojący zapis snu w postaci „Slavia Nova”. Myślę, że spokojnie przygarnąłby go Ivo Watts-Russell. Wystarczyło go nagrać w innym czasie i w innym mieście.”
