"My Name is Man (The Song of Chilam Balam)"

I wrote these lyrics in 2009, inspired by Chris Karrer and Rio Reiser. The words waited quite some time for proper music. Yesterday I finally set them to some chords. The result, to my ears, is psychedelic punk, but you are of course open to your own interpretation. The recording is only a demo. Since May 2022 I play with a great drummer (Leszek Garstka), and later Maja Okamgnienie joined us on synthesizer, so we will probably record this song properly soon. Enjoy.

My mothers are yellow
My fathers are black
My sisters are white
My brothers are red
I'm just the son of man
My name is Man

The red flint stone is my stone in the east
The white flint stone is my stone in the north
The black flint stone is my stone in the west
The yellow flint stone is my stone of the south
I’m just the son of man
My name is Man

I’m the black ceiba tree of plenty
The white ceiba tree of wealth
The yellow ceiba tree of plenty
The red ceiba tree of wealth
I’m just the son of man
My name is Man
